Installation

Two hours of a plumber's time, at most.

The tap connects to your existing water supply and the modules fit under the sink. Allow €100 to €180 for a plumber. Check these four points before you order.

1 h 30 to 2 h of a plumber's time

A 230 V socket under the sink

For the boiling-water tank and the chiller. If not: 30 min to 1 h of an electrician's time, €50 to €100.

A Ø 35 mm hole

The standard diameter for a kitchen tap. Often already there.

A worktop 20 mm thick or more

Stainless steel, granite, quartz, laminate, solid wood: all suitable.

Space under the sink

For the tank and, depending on the model, the chiller and the CO₂ cylinder.

Not sure? Send us a photo of your sink: we reply within 24 hours.

The steps

  1. Removing the old tap
  2. Drilling if needed (Ø 35 mm)
  3. Fixing the HYDRAL tap
  4. Connecting hot and cold water
  5. Fitting the under-sink modules
  6. Electrical connection and testing each water

Yourself or a professional?

Can I install the tap myself?

Yes, if you are comfortable with plumbing: it connects to your existing water supply (standard fittings), then the under-sink modules plug in. Full instructions and a video are included. There is, however, an electrical connection (230 V) and pressurised fittings: if in doubt, call the plumber of your choice.

How long does installation take?

Allow 1 h 30 to 2 h for a plumber (usually €100 to €180): removing the old tap, drilling if needed (Ø 35 mm), fixing, connections, under-sink modules, electrical connection and testing.

What if I move house?

You take it with you: removal takes about 1 hour. Fit a standard tap in the old home and reinstall your HYDRAL in the new one.
