Good to know
How often should I change the filter?
Roughly every 6 months for a household of 3–4 (more often for larger households, less often if you live alone). An indicator on the tap turns orange, then red: no need to keep count.
Does it need descaling?
Once a year in hard-water areas. 30 minutes, either yourself (video tutorial) or by a partner technician, included in the Standard and Plus plans.
Can I buy consumables elsewhere?
CO₂ cylinders, yes (standard size). Filters, no: they are designed for this tap (€35 each, or included in a plan).
Can I use CO₂ cylinders from the shops?
Yes: they are standard 425 g cylinders, SodaStream-compatible. Choose ones certified for food use.
